How do we start?

We make the process efficient and painless for you. We'll gather information and specifications for your website, allow you to select features & functionality, and submit unique requests & examples. We take a visual approach by utilizing a Typeform questionnaire and baseline best-practices in a demo website. We will then discuss and confirm the project details and get started.

How long will it take to have my new website up and running?

Once we’ve worked with you to fully understand your custom specifications, we begin the process of building your unique website and customizing your CMS functionality. You will be an important part of the process by providing content, feedback and user-testing prior to launch. The duration from the start to going live depends on the level of customization and content creation required. We will work tirelessly and efficiently to launch your new website as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. When it’s time to launch, it's as simple as redirecting your domain and publishing the website.

How much will my new website cost?

The cost is very straight-forward. We determine a fixed fee once your unique customizations and specifications are fully understood. Learn more about custom design options and pricing. The fixed fee is payable in two installments - at the start of the website build and at the successful launch of the website. Keep in mind, the two biggest cost variance factors are: Customization and Content: Customization: the level and complexity of customizations and development of required features. Content: The amount & type of original and/or stock content creation needed (text copy, images, videos, etc.).

What is responsive design and why is it important?

Responsive web design allows your website to provide the optimal experience for the user, regardless of the device or screen size. The website's design layout and development features adjust as the size and orientation of the screen adjusts. Practically everyone owns a smartphone and tablet, and mobile internet usage has already surpassed desktop usage. Recent statistics show that while 74% of consumers visit a law firm’s website to take action, 69% also use a smartphone for research, and 85% also use online maps to find legal service locations. In addition, Google now includes 'mobile-friendliness' as a ranking factor, so a well-coded responsive web design is critical for SEO.

Can I (should I) have a background video on my website?

The modern web is dynamic and visual. Background videos stand out and can be impactful to your visitors and potential clients. We can absolutely create a living, breathing website with video. Can I manage my own website content?

Whether it's editing pages, adding new attorney profile pages, practice areas, blog posts, landing pages, or any other content, the user-friendly CMS is designed to make it simple. And, whenever a page is published, you can make real-time changes right on the live page itself with front-end editing! Is the CMS WordPress?

No. A CMS is an integral part of your website solution. This visual content management system is a fully supported, modern, secure platform, currently used in thousands of websites. Unlike WordPress, It does not require installations, upgrades, plugins, or any other kind of maintenance on your part. It is updated, upgraded, and improved continually to provide the best user-experience on the market. Can I create new, unique marketing/landing pages without contacting you?

Yes. Launch custom, targeted landing pages on-demand by simply filling out a form! Each landing page template will be pre-designed for mobile responsiveness and search engine optimization.

Whether it is for PPC advertising campaigns, email campaigns, or simply to create dedicated marketing pages for individual practice areas or one-time promotions, landing pages are an important tool for any business marketer. With your website's CMS, you have a Landing Page Engine that can be used for any purpose.

Can I lock specific web pages with a password?

Yes. You can turn on password-protection for any page with the flip of a switch from within the CMS. We will create a customized 'Enter Password' page that will be displayed whenever a visitor accesses a page that you have password-protected. If you have specific use cases for password-protection, such as sending unique information or proposals to clients or colleagues, let us know. We can create custom templates for your individual needs.

SEO? Will my website be search engine optimized?

Yes. Your website will have clean, standards-compliant semantic code under the hood, super-fast page loads, mobile-friendliness, optimized SEO-friendly architecture, compressed responsive image and video files, optimized title and description meta tags & image alt tags, and an automatically generated XML sitemap.

Dynamic SEO: For your dynamic pages (blog posts, attorney profiles, practice area pages, resources pages, landing pages, etc.), we will design your dynamic page templates to automatically generate search engine-friendly meta titles, descriptions, and Open Graph content based on the page content that you create whenever you launch new content. It will also generate clean URLs for every page or post.

Your website will be built and optimized to be search engine-friendly and will include modern tools to help you market your services. We do NOT charge an ongoing monthly marketing fee OR manage your ongoing marketing efforts, however. If you require ongoing marketing of your finished website, we recommend utilizing a marketing firm.

Will my website be social media optimized?

Yes. Your website will have built-in Open Graph (OG) settings for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+. We will optimize the site's Open Graph titles and descriptions, and design a custom-branded default Open Graph image that will display when your web pages are shared. For dynamic content (that which you create), we will design your dynamic page templates to automatically generate Open Graph content based on the page/post content. Of course, we will also integrate your social media links and share buttons.

What browsers are LiveWeb websites compatible with?

LiveWeb websites are built with the most modern web technologies and are designed to display flawlessly through most modern browsers, including mobile browsers. Older versions of browsers that are no longer supported by their manufacturers or given functionality or security updates may not render all aspects of modern web designs accurately. This includes IE8, IE9, and for a small number of features, IE10, as these are no longer supported by Microsoft. These currently represent a small percentage of web users, so it is generally not a concern.

Do you require hosting? What is the cost?

We do require hosting for dynamic CMS-driven solutions. Your website's managed hosting and content management system (CMS) make up an interconnected solution providing all of the amazing functionality PLUS the best-in-class, fully managed hosting. We can certainly export your website design files and send them to you at any time, but it will not include dynamic content generated by the CMS, or any CMS functionality, as it is part of the integrated system. Are there hosting or content limits?

While we do have to apply caps for content creation and hosting, you'll find that the limits are very generous, and will easily accommodate most normal business use scenarios. And, if you ever need more space, form submissions, pages, CMS user accounts, or anything, we're here to address your needs. The enterprise-grade hosting will also scale for visitor spikes, so no need to worry about crashing due to traffic surges.

Can I take my design to another hosting provider?

Static design files can be exported. So, if you only need a static website design (no CMS or dynamic content functionality), we can certainly design a beautiful, modern website for you. You can then choose to utilize our hosting or have the web design files exported and sent to you, if you wish to host elsewhere. If you have a dynamic version of Attorney, connected to the CMS, only the static design files can be exported. If you prefer that LiveWeb NOT manage your website hosting, we can also assist you in creating your own hosting account.

Will you design my LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook pages to match my website design?

Yes! We include matching social media designs, as well as custom Open Graph and favicon designs.

How do I connect my domain (URL) to my new website?

In the DNS Manager of your domain registrar account, you will simply modify several records to reflect new website destination. The information will be provided prior to launching your completed website. We can do this for you if you prefer.

I would like a business email address such as myname@mybusiness.com. Can you help me with this?

Absolutely. LiveWeb does not host email, and we do not recommend connecting your email to your website host under any circumstances. However, we can assist you in setting up your business email with an excellent free service. As a best practice, you should always utilize an independent email service such as this.

Regarding forms: all form entries on your website will initiate an email notification to you at any email address you choose.

Can you integrate third-party applications such LawPay into my website?

Yes! Many cloud-based applications allow for website integration. We can also design unique web pages or content wrappers to seamlessly integrate the applications and links into your website’s design. If you have questions about a particular application or script, Ask Us!

What is the cost for design changes, website modifications, or new features?

All service and change requests or new feature implementations will be assessed and quoted fairly based on the time and complexity of the project, however, reasonably occasional and/or minor tweaks and changes will often be taken care of at no additional cost to you.
